Faith Atack-Martin

BSc(hons) PGDip HCPC ACPAT Cat A

Faith is a Chartered Physiotherapist who has worked in professional sport and both public and private healthcare since 2009.

Faith commenced her career in sport working in professional football as a physiotherapist before going on to lead a sports science & medicine team for a current Premier League team’s academy. With a passion for, and competing herself in equine sport, Faith moved on from professional football to set up her own clinical practice to provide physiotherapy support to both human and equine athletes, a busy clinic that she still runs today. Alongside her equine clinic Faith moved into motorsport working concurrently in W Series and Formula 1. She was the travelling physiotherapist for W Series’ inaugural season and today still maintains a clinical lead and head performance coach role for a Formula 1 race team.

Faith obtained a BSc(hons) in Physiotherapy from University of Huddersfield and Post-Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College, London. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sport and Exercise Medicine, and the Health and Care Professions Council. She is one of only a very few people with successful careers in both human and equine domains working in high level performance sport and has given multiple talks and guest lectures on this.

Now, having worked in sports such as equestrian and motorsport where the lifestyle and travel demands are extreme, Faith’s passion is to help as many people as possible achieve performance and success, whilst not compromising on health, wellbeing, and enjoyment. She does this by working on a strategic level with key stakeholders in teams and organisations, in addition to providing front line support as a physiotherapist and performance coach to race teams.
